Why Grey Tree Frogs?

Inspired by the resilient and adaptable grey tree frog, this program reflects the vital role youth can play in restoring ecosystems. Just as the frog moves through water, land, and trees throughout its life, our apprentices engage in hands-on environmental action to help protect our watershed’s water, soil, and air.

Real Impact, Real Experience

Apprentices leave the program with more than just knowledge—they leave with a stronger connection to the land, confidence in their abilities, and a clearer sense of how they can make a difference. Many alumni have gone on to pursue studies in environmental science, biology, or sustainability—and some return as volunteers or FRW staff.
